Two senior engineers founded Kodelab in Zagreb in 2015. The usual early-agency story — small projects, big ambitions, learning the hard way.
Banks in the region needed production software from senior engineers who could pass a security audit. That's how the work came to us — and where our discipline came from. Production environments where a bad deploy costs real money. Documentation that has to survive auditors. Timelines that hold because the regulator's review date doesn't move.
Eleven years later: 20+ engineers across 7 specialized labs, 100+ projects across banking, enterprise software, government, and e-commerce. ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 — earned because our clients required them, kept because they forced us to systematize what we'd already been doing.
Then AI started making our engineers genuinely faster. We rebuilt how we work from the inside — test generation, code review, documentation, quality assurance — without losing a single piece of the audit discipline that got us into the banks.
